Yes, old barns, and rural America, are my favorite themes for paintings, and every farm or homestead I drive past during my back road tours, seems to have their own stories to tell. This is the feeling I try to capture in my paintings and changing seasons offer a new story to every setting. This old barn is located along the Sweetwater Trail not far from my home in Nineveh, Indiana. I thought it would be an idea subject and challenge to paint in the miniature whiskey painting technique.
